Poster 166: Distal Clavicle versus Traditional and Congruent Arc Latarjet: Comparison of Surface Area and Glenoid Apposition with 3-Dimensional CT and MRI

چکیده

Objectives: Limited studies have compared graft-glenoid apposition and glenoid augmentation area between the latarjet distal clavicle grafts in glenohumeral stabilization. Additionally, pre-operative planning is typically performed using computerized tomography (CT), few used 3- dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (3D-MRI) reformations to assess graft dimensions. The purpose of study was two-fold: 1) compare bony apposition, augmentation, width among coracoid bone techniques 2) determine viability 3D-MRI Methods: Twenty-four patients with recurrent instability loss were included this study. 3D-CT utilized measure pertinent dimensions for five orientations autografts: (1) standard Latarjet (SLJ), (2) congruent arc (CLJ), (3) attached by its posterior surface, (DCP) (4) inferior surface (DCI), (5) resected end (DCR). Glenoid augment defined as contributing glenoid. Bone-on-bone contact healing potential, fixation technique. Paired t-tests sizes vs measurements. Results: CLJ had largest (mean: 318mm 2 , sd: 74) while SLJ displayed most 74). DCI 21mm, 4). t- tests revealed no significant differences methods, whereas varied significantly orientation. All measurements within 1mm each other, only two demonstrated statistically difference (coracoid width: 13.03 13.98mm, p=0.010; thickness: 9.69 10.77, p=0.002). strong positive correlation (r>0.6 p<0.001 all dimensions). Conclusions: can vary or type Differences small likely not clinically significant.

The Biomechanical Effectiveness of Classic and Congruent Arc Latarjet Procedures

INTRODUCTION: The Latarjet procedure is commonly used to treat glenoid bone loss due to recurrent instability and dislocation. In this procedure, the coracoid process is osteotomized from its native position and fixed to the anterior glenoid at the site of bone loss. As a result, the coracoid acts as an extension of the glenoid face, thus restoring the glenoid articulating surface and increasin...

Anatomic and Biomechanical Comparison of the Classic and Congruent-Arc Techniques of the Latarjet Procedure

BACKGROUND The Latarjet procedure is commonly performed using either the classic or the congruent-arc technique. Each technique has potential clinical advantages and disadvantages. However, data on the anatomic and biomechanical effects, benefits, and limitations of each technique are limited. Hypothesis/Purpose: To compare the anatomy and biomechanical fixation strength (failure load) between ...
